Woah.
How long has it been? *Dusts off cobwebs.* Okay, anyways.
This past Friday I saw The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.
GOOD.
FREAKING.

PLOT
Okay, so basically, SpongeBob is all excited because Mr. Krabs is opening a Krusty Krab 2 (conveniently located next to the Krusty Krab) and is announcing the new manager. This apparently takes place long after the first season, seeing that now SB has over 300 consecutive Employee of the Month awards. When SB learns that Squidward is the new manager because he's, "more mature," he is heartbroken. So, in short, Plankton steals King Neptune's crown, frames Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob volunteers to take the treacherous path to Shell City to prove he is a man (with help from Neptune's daughter, Mindy), Mr.Krabs is frozen for the 6 day limit they're gone, if they don't return in time, Krabs is fried, and Plankton takes over Bikini Bottom while they're gone. I laughed, I cried, I had a seizure.
AUDIO
The music, man, THE MUSIC! All the background music from the show, all the right voices, a montage, and one rockin' solo at the end. Pshh, 'nuff said.
VISUAL
Amazing. Absolutely amazing. The blending of animation and live acting was better than anything I've ever seen. The ocean water would actually wash up around SB's hands. Sea creatures attacking a "cyclops" looked stunning. Pat and SB drying up was the best cartoon to live morph I've ever seen. The emotions of the characters were amazingly rendered.
HUMOR
Oh, GOD was it funny! Of course, DR was scarred for life after seeing a slender legged Pat with fishnet leggings and high heels (@_@). But I digress, this was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
